Brenda Young, as Personal Representative of the Wrongful Death Beneficiaries of Terrence Cornelius Young, Deceased filed suit against Dr. Hugh A. Gamble II, alleging medical negligence. This case was tried in the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial District of Bolivar County, Mississippi. Terrence Young was 17 years of age, and Plaintiffs contended that defendant, Gamble, punctured one of Terrence Young's arteries during an operative procedure. The case proceeded to trial and a Circuit Court jury in Bolivar County, Mississippi returned a verdict against the Defendant, Gamble, in the amount of $3,000,000.00. Plaintiff's counsel had requested the jury to return a verdict of $2,000,000.00.
