graduating from the Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science in Columbus, Harland attended The University of Mississippi graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in 2004. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Harland attended The University of Mississippi School of Law where he received his J.D. in 2006.

Harland joined Chapman, Lewis, & Swan as an associate in March of 2007. His primary areas of practice are Products Liability & General Civil Litigation – including Personal Injury and Medical Malpractice

Harland is admitted to practice before all State Courts in Mississippi, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern District of Mississippi. Harland has also applied for admission to the State Courts in New York.

Harland is an active member of the Coahoma County Bar Association & Mississippi Bar Association, including the Lawyer in Every Classroom Series sponsored by the Young Lawyers’ division of the MS Bar.
